Here's what
you need:
Place the tofu slices on several layers of paper towels and cover with additional paper towels. Let stand 5 minutes, pressing down occasionally. Cut each slice diagonally into 2 triangles. Add onion to the pan and saute 4 minutes. Add spices and saute an additional minute. Add tomato, cilantro and sugar and saute for 2 minutes. Add water and vinegar. Bring to a boil, scraping pan to loosen browned bits and cook an additional 2 minutes. Serve onion sauce over tofu. |
